Gisela Feild

Administrative Director, Miami-Dade County Public Schools

Gisela Feild has spent over 35 years working for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She is currently responsible for School Accountability, Assessment, Research, Program Evaluation and Data Analytics for the district. In addition, she supervises the Information Technology teams that are responsible for all student data transmitted to the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) for state accountability, teacher evaluations, student assessment and funding.

Gisela has served as the Accountability Officer for Miami-Dade County Public Schools for the past 20 years and was a member of the FLDOE committee that designed and deployed Florida’s School Grading formula. Additionally, she served on Florida’s Student Growth Implementation Committee (SGIC). The FLDOE convened this committee of stakeholders to identify the type of model and the factors that should be accounted for in Florida’s value-added models for use in teacher evaluations. Gisela also serves as a liaison regarding student data with outside agencies such as the Children’s Trust, Department of Children and Families, Juvenile Justice Center, and the Council of Great City Schools.

Gisela earned a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Florida International University (FIU). She is a member of FIU’s Early Childhood Center Board. She also serves as the chair of Miami-Dade County Public Schools’(M-DCPS) Standardized Testing/Assessment Committee for Educational Testing and is a member of Florida’s Technical Advisory Committee for Testing.
