Annually, the Fordham Institute brings together education policymakers from leading organizations to discuss current issues facing our nation’s schools in what they call a Wonk-athon. This year, the topic focused on graduation requirements, and what may need to change given the scandals that have affected districts nationwide. Laura Slover, CEO of CenterPoint, shares her thoughts on how districts can establish consistency in quality and rigor across high school courses through the use of fundamental tools including standards-aligned curriculum and end-of-course assessments.
