Dr. David Yoshihara

Superintendent, Tamalpais Union High School District

David Yoshihara is the Superintendent of the Tamalpais Union High School District. As the chief educational officer of the district, he implements board policy and is responsible for day-to-day district administration.

Previously David served as Superintendent of San Gabriel Unified School District, Assistant Superintendent of La Mesa-Spring Valley School District and Escalon Unified School District. He began his career as a school math teacher and postsecondary instructor in Fresno, CA. After teaching he served as a coordinator for the Technology Innovation Challenge Grant Cyber High Program before returning to the California public school system serving various leadership roles.

David earned a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne, a Master of Arts in Education with Emphases on Administration/Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Computer Science, U.C. Berkeley.
