Scot Slaby is an English educator with over fifteen years of experience teaching high school students and designing curriculum for grades 9-12 at public and private institutions in the U.S. and overseas. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Writing from The Johns Hopkins University, and he is a prize-winning author, whose poems have appeared in two chapbooks and numerous online and print publications, including a reference work on poetic form. As creator of the “I Notice” method for reading poems, Scot is a passionate advocate of helping students engage with complex texts, nurturing not only their academic success but also their love of language and reading itself.
