Senior Instructional Designer, Mathematics
Tracy Halka is a senior instructional designer at CenterPoint, responsible for building quality mathematics resources for CenterPoint, including our professional learning webinars and courses as well as formative and diagnostic assessments.
Prior to joining CenterPoint, Tracy served as the associate director of summative assessments at Parcc Inc. where she was responsible for assessment development activities, including administration, scoring, and test construction. Previously, Tracy worked at Achieve, Inc. as the associate director of the Achieve American Diploma Project Algebra I and Algebra II Assessment Consortium where managed the creation and administration of a multi-state assessment. Tracy has additional experience as a supervisor of scoring and reporting and a high school mathematics specialist for the Florida Department of Education.
Tracy earned her master’s degree in measurement and statistics, and her bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Florida State University. She is also a certified project management professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. Tracy’s favorite teacher in school was Mr. Dickie, her trigonometry teacher. He always answered a question with a question and challenged her to find the answers herself.
